These wooden bow ties are handcrafted out of the exotic wood Cocobolo. Cocobolo is one of the most expensive woods in the world and is native to Mexico and Central America.
Known for its rich color and incredible grain patterns, its high natural oil content allows it to develop a glass-like surface after sanding and polishing.
Because the grain is so unpredictable and colorful, beautiful streaks often form with deep red and orange hues.
While this tie works perfectly in almost any occasion, it really shines in formal settings where it can add a classy kick to almost any outfit.
The tie is finished with mineral oil and beeswax (both edible) which help prevent the wood from drying out while still keeping its natural feel.
Straps come in various colors and are not visible once the bow ties are put on. Adjustable sliders on the straps accommodate most neck sizes (13-19").
It is important to note that because of the unique qualities of wood, bow ties sold will not exactly match the color/grain of the ones shown, but we will do our best to ensure a close match.
I love the tie
Amazing craftmanship.
These are beautiful. Unfortunately, it would not stand up on the neck facing forward. It faces downward.
It was beautiful and was received very quickly! The only thing I would suggest is that they include a little information about the wood. I printed off the description and added it because I wanted him to know where the wood originated as he is a world traveler and likes to collect things from each region. Would definitely order again and will add a picture as soon as he wears it( he will be posting it on Facebook I’m sure)!
Paul was super personable and was willing to work with me to get me a bowtie that was a even more unique. He also had no problem swapping out the strap color to tie in better with what my groomsman will be wearing. The workmanship of the tie is top notch. I was concerned about wearing a wood bowtie but the shape, size, and weight are spot on.I highly recommend dealing with Paul. Cody
